Who Will be World Series Champs this year?

Instead of waiting for 162 games to finish until we get to the playoffs, let’s take a look in the crystal ball and predict the future of the Major League Baseball Playoffs.

AL East: Tampa Bay Rays – Been a steady team for a while and seemed primed for a deep run this year.

AL Central: Detroit Tigers – With the addition of Prince Fielder, the Tigers should have enough to win the Central.

AL West: Texas Rangers – The two time AL Champs have one goal in mind, that’s to win the World Series.

NL East: Philadelphia Phillies – After a disappointing exit out of the playoffs last season, watch for Ryan Howard, Roy Holliday, and the Phillies to be a tough out this year.

NL Central: St. Louis Cardinals – Even though the Cardinals lost Albert Pujols in free agency, this team is still good enough to win the NL Central.

NL West: LA Dodgers – May be considered a surprise team by some, I feel the Dodgers can will a tight race in the West. Maybe Co-Owner Magic Johnson can rub off a little championship luck the Dodgers way.

AL Wild Cards: Miami Marlins and Arizona Diamondbacks

NL Wild Cards: NY Yankees and LA Angels

Marlins and Yankees advance from the wild card. In the AL: Rays over Tigers, Rangers over Yankees, Rays over Rangers. In the NL: Marlins over Dodgers, Phillies over Cardinals, and Phillies over Marlins.

World Series: Philadelphia Phillies over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Let me know if you agree or not and also, what are predictions for this year in baseball?
